He battled back from a near fatal bout with cancer. He looked death square in the face and within the abyss found a renwed focus on creativity and the importance of life's body of work. He's since gone on to create one of the greatest pieces of work in all photographic history - Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich - Homage To The Masters.

Multiple times he's been awarded International Photographer of the year, multiple times voted one of the top 200 advertising photographers of the world. At the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, he was acknowledged as best new director.
In 2001 Sandro was invited by the Cuban government to photograph their athletes - This project was the first US-Cuban Collaboration since the diplomatic and trade embargo was imposed in 1960.
Sandro has photographed many national advertising campaigns for clients such as: BMW, Milk, Adidas, Nike, Nikon, Pepsi - His editorial work has been featured in the likes of Communication Arts, Esquire, Forbes, Time, Wired and has exhibited worldwide.
He's known for his powerful imagery and close work with John Malkovich.
